Mike Perham

My work in ceramic art is a journey into the delicate balance between form and void, simplicity and complexity. Drawing inspiration from organic forms, I strive to create pieces that evoke a sense of tranquility and introspection. The intentional use of negative space in my art is a reflection of the belief that what is absent can be just as powerful as what is present.

Each piece I create, whether it's a fluid, organic sculpture or a simplistic black onyx orb, carries with it a story of contrasts and harmonies. I reject the notion that an artist must be confined to a single style. Instead, I embrace versatility and experimentation, allowing my creative process to flow freely and evolve naturally.

My ceramics are an exploration of the unseen, the unspoken, and the understated. Through my art, I invite viewers to find their own meaning in the spaces between and to experience the quiet power of simplicity.
